We put 29 points on a 4A school. I think we did a real nice job. We moved the ball real well.

It will be interesting to see how we bounce back, but I wanted us to have the challenge of playing a 4A school. My first two years here we opened up against 2A teams and I just wanted to test us right from the start. I was proud of the way we competed.

Last year was huge for us. I think it has put a little pressure on this year's team. But that's all right. We had our first winning season last year and it was just a great year.

Travis did a great job throwing the ball. Our line protected him real well. I'd like to be more balanced than that — Wood attempted 39 passes — but we got behind and I wanted to try to keep us in the game.

I really respect what Bob Shaffer does up there with that program. They really fill up their sideline with players every year.

Will probably tried a little too hard and got caught out a couple of times. He was a bit of a target because we were trying to save fuel, but he will certainly learn from that. I think Will had the speed to be fourth or fifth at the end of the day.

To see that the work is still going on is a blessing. Being able to be communicate with the kids and make friends was also a great blessing.
