DuBois settled down and really pitched well.

Our first six batters are as good as anybody in the country. Nine of our 10 runs were by those guys. We beat a good team today. They have probably the best team they've had in my 20 years here.

We had a great week and one bad day. We just didn't hit.

I never like losing but if we win (today) we win the series, and that's what you have to do against the good teams.

The whole day we were behind the whole time. We're just finding ways to lose which is really frustrating as a coach. We're not pitching very good at all, and we're not getting that timely hit. We make an error at the most inopportune time. Right now everything is going against us.

Matt has pitched well. I thought when I recruited him he was pretty good, but I've been pleasantly surprised. He got the (offensive) help right away and that may have made it a little bit easier for him to relax. He's going to be a really good one for us.

We finally started hitting. We had gone 24 innings and only scored two runs. Luckily we salvaged the split and didn't go down 0-2 in the conference.

Our two freshman pitchers pitched outstanding today. They stepped up big for us and pitched the way you'd hope they would when you recruit them.

Gilbert kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win which is what you want at that point. He did a really good job for us.
