"David Leon Herron, Jr." is a former American football linebacker. He was originally signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played football at Warren G. Harding High School and college football at Michigan State Spartans football/Michigan State.

Herron has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, and New York Jets. He is the older brother of Indianapolis Colts running back Daniel Herron.
