This was our first step on our road to state. A lot of guys had a real good start. We have some guys really starting to get focused.

We're really happy with it. Between the JV and varsity we brought a total of 30 guys. Twenty-four were in the finals. We were real happy.

We haven't brought three to state since 2002. That was the year we got our first state champion in B.J. Mitchell, and we finished ninth at state. It's nice to get back to taking more than one or two (to state). We're really happy with three guys. We're proud of them all.

They've been there so they know what it takes to place at sections. We want to be sure we shore up any problems they're having and get them ready to win those close matches.
