Having a champion at 171 pounds, sooner or later you're going to have to make him an Athlete of the Week or something. We'd like to see him get a little further in the tournament.

I'm not afraid to tell anyone I'm very demanding. I'll accept physical errors, but mental errors are what I'm trying to eliminate. When you're dealing with freshmen and sophomores, there's a big step.

We were in fact their first test. I thought we did a good job working all the way through until the final inning. Certainly we gave up too much then.

We played well. They have a good pitcher and we hit her and you have got to feel good about that.

I've got lots and lots of anxious moments ahead thinking that we are just one hit away, one bunt away, one play away from being phenomenal.
