The kid deserves to play some quality minutes and not just mop-up duty. He's earned that right. But at quarterback it's a lot different than other positions. You have continuity issues. You don't want to do something that negatively will affect him.

He couldn't get to the practice field quick enough to correct some things and learn from his mistakes.

What you are seeing is retention. We're not putting in a new offense like we were last spring. Nothing is new; now all you're trying to do is fine-tune the details.

I think we have the makings of a real exciting group.

It's hard to believe it's been 20 years - time has come and gone really quick. It was a great time in the history of that school and kind of catapulted them back on the national scene. So it is a big deal.
