Firstly I find it absolutely incomprehensible that Jacques claims not to have understood the role he took at this club, or indeed his contract. He himself was both coach and technical director at Lyon.

We wish Darren well. Gus and Christian have given the fans much to cheer about during their stay, too.

It is critical that I, and the Board, have absolute confidence in the Manager to deliver success to the Club. Regrettably we do not.

In addition we retain an enviable net debt position despite investing heavily in the squad over the past couple of years. All these factors underline the robustness of the business we now have but also highlight its potential to grow if we can get all elements of the club right both on and off the pitch.

Glenn occupies a special place at this club. He will always be welcome at White Hart Lane. I should like to personally thank him for his determination and commitment.

The current lack of progress and any visible sign of improvement are unacceptable.

I believe he will be a huge asset to the club with his forward thinking approach to international networking and partnerships.

Damien has a long and impressive track record of scouting and signing many talented and successful youth and senior players. I believe he will be a huge asset to the club with his forward-thinking approach to international networking and partnerships. His achievements at St-Etienne show he is also ideally suited to bring best practice to our training facilities, academy and medical divisions.
