I think it gives them a closer relationship with the pet. I think it helps them realize the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for a creature other than themselves. I think they can feel proud of themselves knowing that they're helping a dog, cat or bunny to enjoy a better existence as a family member.

I took a lot of pride in being named a captain and I started more consistently this year. I work really hard at the intangibles. I still have improvements to make, but I was definitely feeling it more offensively toward the end of the season.

One of the perks of my injuries is the chance to take advantage of graduate school.
