It wasn't a beautiful win, but it wasn't an ugly win. We're having trouble offensively with our youth, and because of that, we have to play great defense. Today we did.

At halftime, we came out and wanted to win the second half and we almost did that. We played much better in the second half. We had a lot more energy and we were able to accomplish some positive things. But in the first half, our youth showed. And that's just part of learning.

In the second half Wartburg came out very aggressive and cut into our lead. But every time they made a run, one of our players had an answer. It was fun.

Our last three games, we've played pretty well. We've struggled at times and we didn't play great tonight. But we got a win and that was huge.

Jess was a zone buster tonight. We told her before the game to just keep shooting the ball and it was a good confidence boost for her to knock down those shots.

Give them credit. We didn't play well in the first half. But they made some open shots and took advantage of their opportunities.

We executed our game plan almost to perfection. It was a nice win for us. But most importantly, we played with intensity for a full game. In recent contests, we've had patches where we lost focus and the opposition took advantage of it. Tonight, we didn't have any lapses in intensity.

We're just not shooting the ball well from the outside. A lot of those shots were uncontested.

It's always nice to win. I feel good for our kids because they've worked so hard even when things were difficult. And now that we have a win, it's nice to see them rewarded.
