This report shows that some positive steps have been made toward lessening the time, money, and effort America's No. 1 job creators spend on regulatory compliance. But Congress, the regulatory community, and small business need to come together to do more.

I think we more than hold our own with the big money.

Passage would bring relief to millions of small-business owners and their families. It would certainly ease Main Street's growing anxiety about being slapped with and ruined by a Mickey Mouse lawsuit.

I wouldn't classify those changes as major. Between charitable events and fundraising events, there will still be lots of ways to get in front of members (of Congress).

This is a resounding victory for thousands of small-business owners across the country who for decades have fought to liberate themselves from an unfair and punitive tax on their life's work.

When you can put a real face on an issue, that's very powerful.
