We did a much better job of contesting his shots. He did a really good job at creating space and was able to knock down a few shots, but with Speedy, you want to try and make him into a jump shooter first, but you have to contest those shots.

I keep telling everyone, I've never been the type of guy who can take two shots and I'm going to hit them. I need to get some looks.

Everybody wants that shot. I've been playing for a long time. Anytime I get an opportunity to take a shot to put us ahead or to win the game ... everybody wants to be in that position.

Definitely we feel we can play with them. Miami, we've played well against them. Detroit, they've played well, but we know we're capable of beating them. For us to go in and get one on their home floor would say something.

I've been a starter in this league a long time. I've come off the bench some years, too. I've been effective at both. So for me to step in in the absence of somebody and start and be effective, that shouldn't be a surprise to no one.

The second half, we did a good job of forcing those guys out of what they like to do. We did a much better job in the second half at making the extra pass instead of trying to take too much on a one-of-one situation.

We've got to continue to try and keep winning. We've just got to try and keep building on what we're doing.

They were pretty much the same play. On the first one, they left me to focus on Vince, and he did a good job of finding me. Vince, Richard, Jason (Kidd), they really command a lot of attention, and at that point of the game you're going to think that they're going to get the shot.

The coach can say it's his fault, but the bottom line is that it falls on the players.
