Number one, I was trying to change our fortune. Number two, we've been preaching a lot about character and showing some class. I just thought it'd be a sign of showing kids that you didn't have to look like a bum all the time to do a job. They got a kick out of it. I think it loosened them up a little bit.

We just decided to go back to our horse and ride him. For an inside run, he's as good as there is around here.

We're not very well coached. We're not working hard enough on keeping control of the ball. We get something going and drop the football. Then we don't catch a few balls that could have broken it open.

Mike's got good hands. He can catch the ball out of the backfield. He also makes picks.

(Garris) came in and, for what we ask him to do, he did a heck of a job. He doesn't get a lot of reps in practice.

He has run some offense in practice. He just goes so hard on defense, it's hard to get much out of him both ways.
