"Christopher Bryan Moneymaker" is an United States/American poker player who won the main event at the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP). His 2003 win is said to have "revolutionized poker" because he was the "first person to become a world champion by qualifying" at an online poker site. This has been referred to in the press as the "Moneymaker Effect."

Eric Raskin, editor of All In Magazine, compiled an oral history of the 2003 WSOP Main Event, which included input from three dozen top poker personalities who were involved, also titled The "Moneymaker Effect."

A sort of reaffirmation of a man's station in life.

It was about midway through the (2003) tournament.

Then suddenly it's all over and you've won, and then it's just a matter of it sinking in. I guess that's where I am now.

It's taught me more about human interaction, which is a big thing on stage.

Other than that and the fact that I don't have to work any more my life hasn't changed a bit.

I have had the privilege to work with Jeff and his team on a series of licensed products and I was honored to be asked to co-host this tournament with him.

I'd guess that out of the last 365 days I've been on the road about 180 of them, ... That's the only drawback to all of this. It keeps me away from home too much.

But I don't see it that way.

You have it or you don't, ... I think I have it.
