It's a lot less than last year. You want to share the moment, the feeling, with people, teammates.

It's definitely more significant because it's our last chance to be a state champion. We've all qualified before and we could always say we've got next year. We can't say that this year.

It's crazy how out of shape I could get in one week of not practicing. I didn't know what to expect, but I figured he had to be decent. As soon as I took him down once, I thought I'd be able to beat him. I just couldn't do anything stupid and give up big points.

He came out pretty strong. But after I took him down I could tell he was getting tired.

I started off slow. I decided to step it up. If I was going to get beat, I wasn't going to get beat not trying.

I just stayed in a better stance. He hit four low singles (Wednesday) and I couldn't get away from him.
