Jimmy has grown up tremendously, probably as much as any young man I've ever been around. Four years ago we didn't see eye-to-eye very often, but he's matured as a person and as a player. He came back for all the right reasons.

At this time in their careers, compared to those other guys, they're more talented. Hopefully that athletic ability, the speed, will make up for some of that lack of experience.

I'm just really pleased with the way our kids have played so far. Really, since the first ballgame with N.C. State, we're consistently getting better. As a defense, I really like the way we're approaching things right now.

We were able to get him on the run and obviously with his situation, getting him moving around, I'm sure his strength wasn't there. I thought we had some good coverage, but I think also that our front four were relentless today.

He's a guy that really took a step forward as far as what our safety position demands. I just see him playing at another speed, taking his game to another level.

Jimmy came back for all the right reasons. He wanted to mature and grow as a person and mature and grow as a player. He wanted to be a leader, and he did all those things. Obviously, he's been rewarded for those things, too. I'm as proud of him as anybody I've ever been around, just what he's all about and how he's matured.

I just like the way we're improving. They're not satisfied, that's the thing. We've got to be hungry.

He's a guy that shows flashes but just needs to be consistent. When we've been really good, we've had depth, so we'd like to have that fourth guy. I'd like to see him put it together (today).

It's been a great relationship, and the consistency helps out. He's a mentor, father figure, a friend and extremely loyal guy. He's loyal to his coaches, and in turn we work hard and are loyal to him also.
