We kept missing some spark in January and it's been unfortunate. We need to execute better. We've lost some close ones that have put us in this position. We're one of them most talented teams in central Ohio and I expect that we'll be right back into second.

He's on the same line as (Joe Peruzzi and John Benson), scoring a lot of goals. We have a lot going for us with that line.

The defense has scored over 40 points. You have to be comfortable with that going into the tournament.

It's going to take grit and grind, and desire. It's a heart game. You can bring all the talent and say you're going to depend on that, but that only gets you so far. Every piston has to be hitting in the engine to win. You have to execute.

These last two wins after our January gives us momentum.

(Athens) played us well, and everyone else average. (Athens) tied Newark (1-all Dec. 10) and Pickerington (3-all Nov. 11). For some reason, we've drawn them on a Friday and they've struggled the rest of the weekend.

It's nice not to travel. We've got the advantage of sleeping in our own bed, but there are three teams that also have that luxury. I'm not sure if any teams have an advantage over anyone else.

Whether or not we lost 4-1, we went out with class and had a good stretch.

We kept on our game plan. My hat's off to these guys. They earned it. Whether we won by one goal or not, we owned the flow of (every game). We kept the puck in our end more than theirs and it bounced our way. It's special to defend the championship.
