A lot of people around here are playing mediocre teams and not really getting a challenge. Like we played Conley the other day, and it was a 1-0 ballgame until the last two innings. We've seen a lot of good pitching that we normally don't see in the preseason.

We just try not to think about (being preseason No. 1). I mean we can let that go to our heads and not be as successful as we want to be. We can't go into every game thinking we're ranked No. 1, so we should win this game.

The challenge at hand is to be the NEW 6 champions. I mean we chant 'NEW 6 Champs' on three after every practice. Right now that's the goal at hand, that's the goal and that's what we're aiming for.
