They have a ton of college kids watching the game, grilling out and cheering. There are no excuses now, we are getting used to playing with each other and are getting in a normal flow of game series.

They are a hot team. You feel confident in any game you play. A lot of our guys know guys on SIU and are really looking forward to going down there to play.

I want to set a path for the underclassmen. If us upperclassmen do that then the younger guys will see that is what the program is about. I want to leave it better than I came, set the bar high and keep it there.

Man, it felt good to play on Wednesday. I couldn't wait to get back out there. I felt like I was back in Little League again because it was so much fun just to be able to be out there.

I think we will have had a successful season if I come out to the field every day and played hard.

I feel real relaxed at the plate. I changed my swing a little bit from last year and it has really paid off.

Coach told me be ready all game. When he called me, I knew all I had to do was find a hole, which I did.

We played well against them at Evansville. It was a seesaw battle. I remember that they can hit, but we've got confidence that we can take care of business going into the game against them.

I try and take the same approach, keep the same routine. I wear the same socks all season, eat the same breakfast; eggs, hash browns, orange juice. I'm not crazy about it but I like to keep some rhythm.
