"Brian Sell" is a retired American long-distance running/long-distance runner who specialized in various long-distance track events before specializing as a marathoner in his professional career with Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. Sell represented the United States at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's marathon/men's marathon. He attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, where he ran on the Saint Francis University cross country team.

I was a little worried but I stuck to the game plan and it turned out pretty well.

Eventually, if I keep improving that level, I'll be up there mixing it up with those guys. But one step at a time, I guess.

Running is a lot physical and a lot mental. It's about building your fitness and your confidence, too. Every day, we go out and push each other.

It feels really good, this is my second U.S. title, especially running a fast time. It was good to see a lot of fast times from the young U.S. guys too; it shows that we're making progress and can compete on the international scene.

I mean we're kind of a fun human-interest story, but I don't think a lot of people expect us to do that well. And I really hope we prove them wrong.

I knew what kind of fitness I was in, and I knew I wasn't ready to make it a four or five-minute jump. I made a three-minute jump and I'm pretty happy with it.
