The clubhouses are awesome. I went over and saw the Cards' (clubhouse). It's as good as any I've been in.

Right now, I'm seeing the ball good, and I'm just trying to take advantage of an opportunity.

Missed it by one day again. Hopefully, the next time is for real.

I think I've learned over the last couple of years a little bit better which way to prepare. I think my pitch recognition has gotten better -- I get in better counts, I think -- and naturally being back in Triple-A the last couple years, I got pitched a lot tougher than I ever did in the major leagues. I was in the middle-of-the-lineup guy, and I've learned a little bit from it.

I missed it by one day when I was with Florida in 1998. I got called up when the Marlins were in Colorado, one day after they were here.

I showed them I can still hit, but it's something I've been through the last two years. It's a lot easier to come back if I go to Memphis. I know the guys after being in camp this long. We'll see. It's not the 25 who start the season, but the 25 who end the season who get to the World Series.
