These guys learned by playing. We took our lumps early. But look at what it did for them. They were able to deal with all this tonight. They've come a long, long way.

In the third period, we did a much better job of not getting sucked in. We tried to pinch a lot in the first two periods. When we didn't get the puck, we were in trouble and gave up too many chances. I'm just very happy with the heart we showed in the third period.

To beat a team like New Canaan makes it even sweeter. They've been here in the Division I finals many times. This legitimizes what we did in the tournament.
