We're going to have to be a smarter basketball team the last three or four minutes. If it comes down to it, we have confidence in our free throws. Against Newark I don't think we played good defense. Against Lancaster we didn't handle the ball well or make good decisions.
We shot ourselves in the foot. Going 3-for-10 at the line (down the stretch), we should have been down by 40.
I think Gahanna hasn't lost a game since we played back in December. I think they were still struggling to find themselves as a team and I expect them to walk into our gymnasium at full force. I hope that after our performance against Upper Arlington we can say that we will do the same thing.
Three years ago we made it (to a district semifinal) and lost to Lancaster in double overtime 81-78. We have to take care of rebounding and get the boards. We have to be able to handle the press and we have to play great defense.
Parker broke us down badly. We tried to contain (her) penetration, which got us out of position.
