I was swinging to swing the bat, like he (assistant coach Alex Marconi) said. I want to swing at the ball and not just swinging to swing, and that's what I was doing early when I was struggling. Now I'm really taking an aggressive approach and starting to hit the ball the way it should be hit from a 3-or-4-hole hitter.

You've got to tire him out, push him, run him. You need to make him work at both ends of the court.

What, running and gunning for seven games? It doesn't matter at this point. We played San Antonio well this year. We played well against Phoenix. We don't care who we play at this point.

What happens, happens. I wasn't trying anything special to hit home runs. In the first couple of at-bats, that's what I was trying to do. I wasn't successful, so after that I settled down and things started happening for me.

Fifteen hits, 17 runs. Anytime you do that, you just try to carry that over to the next game no matter who it is.

I feel good about the special teams from what we have seen during the summer. But, n terms of team speed, that could be a little weakness for us.

We just kind of had a laid back approach to the game. Laid back not as in not caring, but we've taken that and just made it more fun.

(My shot) has been coming around the last couple games. So you just feel a lot more aggressive when you're in a comfortable zone. Obviously, the games are really important right now, not just to stay in the playoffs but trying to move up.

One of the objectives of the Forest Service was to get (the bridge) on the ground so other people could look at it and possibly build one.
