I thought Ozark had a great game plan coming in. I don't think our kids will realize what they've done until sometime down the road.

It was definitely a turning point. We rely on a lot of penetration and once we started playing some defense, we went on a big run.

We didn't play our best, but a lot of that credit has to go to Republic. This was a rivalry game and they were ready to play. I thought we showed some character down the stretch because things weren't going our way tonight.

He's a big-time player and he has ice water in his veins. He's one of the best players in the area and, I think, in the state. When the game's on the line, he shows up.

I'm pleased. I think we turned the corner (today). It was nice, and we need to keep the momentum going.

I thought we did a better job of rebounding and turned it into a run. When we started keeping them from getting second chances, we were able to put together a spurt and spread the gap.

It hurts. It would be lying to say it didn't. But what these kids have accomplished has been unparalleled in school history and you can't let one game take away from that.

Our guys have been here before and I was real proud of the character and guts our kids showed at the end. It was a tight game, but I never saw us panic. That's the mark of a good team and I think our kids were comfortable in the environment.

On a night that we didn't shoot it well, that we had to rely on our defense, it was nice to know that we could get some stops down the stretch and spread our lead out.
