If this is what it's going to take to satisfy everybody, then let's do it and move on.

The field of development in Las Vegas is competitive right now, but we like our chances.

We know our job. We are grinders and we are physical and we need to make their (defense) look back over their shoulders.

It was nice to jump out to a lead. Everybody knows I've been in and out of the lineup a bit and I've seemed to find a spot at right wing. It feels good to get my first, but even better to kick-start my team. It was a weird first period until that goal. It was a good one for us.

I have great respect for Chris. But we aren't going to make everyone happy. Even the ratification vote (on the collective-bargaining agreement) was 87 or 89%.

It was awesome for Abby. There's been a lot of scrutiny the last few weeks with our goaltending. They just need some confidence. He was a star tonight and he looked very, very confident back there, and it showed in our team play. When he's stopping the big plays, it adds something to our team.

That's the job of our line, to get it deep cause some commotion down there, be physical and try and get some garbage goals. Danny and I talked before the game about it. If we ever got the chance, just stuff it at the net. That's what Danny did. He made the play happen.

We had a conference call (Monday) night. It was pretty clear cut that Ted had the majority of the vote, but to satisfy the minority that's a little upset with the process, we're going to do it again. Our confidence is still in Ted, and I think once this is done everybody is finally going to put this to bed.

That's the job of our line. Get it deep, cause some commotion, be physical and try to get some garbage goals.
