When the vote came up the next time … they voted for metropolitan government, ... I stand here today … to say it will happen again. It will happen again sooner than most people imagine possible. You keep the faith for these kids and for our seniors.

When I think about Great American Country's decision to come to Nashville, I see a much bigger picture, ... I see the picture this network paints of the country music industry, our industry, and of Nashville in 40 million homes across America. Great America Country is a great addition to Nashville.

There are very few issues that concern us more than the safety of our community.

It is not a secret that Nashville has seen an increase in the rate of murders and armed robberies. Those trends and those numbers overall must end.

The music we're going to hear at the Opry House on Jan. 21 is music all of us need in our lives.
