This was a very good win for us. We pitched very well for the most part. We played as bad on defense as we have all year, but we overcame that and found a way to win. That was terrific.

I'm excited about our pitching. The difference between this club and last year's club is that we have a chance to be OK on the mound. With Cooper and Price back, the addition of those other six has really strengthened our staff.

It's very exciting for me to come back to Utah. This is a place I'm very familiar with and a place where I felt very comfortable nine years ago. I had a terrific time while I was here.

We've really got our nucleus back, other than Doug Beck and Trevor Eastman. The meat of our order is kind of intact.

The one thing that I'm really excited about is our players have really worked extremely hard since September to get to this point.

They have quite a few new guys. In the middle of the lineup, they're new. But they've got three of their four starting pitchers back. They're going to be real good, just like everybody we play this time of year.

I was really proud of Krause and Price. They did a great job in tough circumstances, with the wind blowing out. It was a tough pitching day.

I think that with the guys we've got coming back, we should be equal to (last year) or even better.

We're ready to play mentally, and we've got everything in. We just need to get outside and play now. We're looking forward to that.
