We just needed something to relax us and Heather's three did that. We did a good job of blocking out and keeping them off the boards. The girls executed the game plan we had very well.

Emily Middleton had some nice shots. They all did a good job of stepping up when we needed something.

When we went to the half-court trap it bothered them and we picked up our defensive intensity. We were able to get some steals. We kept running the offense and got great shots, sometimes they just didn't fall for us but we had a good stretch at the end of the quarter.

We looked more to the basket tonight. Marissa and Heather shot it well from the outside. They (Coffeyville) were packing it in on Emily Larson so we got good looks from outside and the girls hit them.

We just play pretty good defense. The girls just do such a good job. In the first half it was big to get Sharp in foul trouble. We wanted to take the game right at her and they get small (in height) when she's not out there.

Johnson County is a great fit for Heather and Emily. Debbie Carrier is an excellent coach and these two girls will be big assets to their program.

Fort Scott is so quick that when you go inside, you have to put the shot up quick. They want you to make a bounce pass inside because they are shorter than us and they can get to the ball. The match-up wasn't easy for us tonight but it wasn't easy for them either because we're taller.

We got Chanute's best tonight and they have good ball players. Our girls -- each one of them -- stepped up and played well.

I don't know anything about Sabetha except they play in a good league. We're looking forward to seeing what they have. It's a tough tournament with a quality teams in it and it will be a good test for our team.
