It was two very evenly-matched teams. Golden Valley is right there too. They might be playing the best right now too. It's going to be interesting because we all play each other again.
The rain has just killed us because we've lost four or five games. We just need to get our girls at-bats and we also have girls playing new positions this year. We have a lot of girls playing positions they haven't played before.
We just came out hitting. We hit today. We did things we needed to do.
Golden Valley has some good players and good hitters. It was a very evenly matched game. I think both of us are going to be in it in the end. Both of us, Atwater, Pitman and Los Banos . . . we're all close.
We've played about as good a defense we can play in the last few games.
I had Erika bunt because I was going to give Deborah a chance to win the game. Veronica came up big for us.
We talked about making plays when we have the opportunity to make them. Yesterday (against Golden Valley) we didn't and today we did.
We just didn't play well today. We came out looking flat and just didn't swing the bats well.
It's great having someone like Deborah, but I feel pretty good about our pitching all together.
