When it came down to it, I just wasn't ready. I didn't want to rush.

There were definitely packages that we didn't even use last year. We have a lot more talent, a lot more veterans out here that know what their jobs are and what area they are supposed to be in. It will be totally different. We're going to blitz a lot more, play a lot more man-to-man coverage; we're going to do a lot of things.

It was tough. We didn't make the plays to get off the field and the offense didn't make plays to keep us off the field.

He's a leader out there on the field. His team is going to go how he goes. If he's having a good game, they're high and he's going to pack the house there every night. He's a real challenge for us.

I think we need to blitz and contain. Make sure we hold the edges. He's such a good athlete that, even if you do that, he'll step up and find a lane and take off running. We just have to be disciplined in our coverage and our rush this week.

We feel bad for the Saints, but we're in a bad situation at 0-2. We can't go 0-3. A win cures everything.

With the guys that we have ... there's no reason not to play man-to-man and get after the quarterbacks. I think it's a good lesson. We're going to see on film that we can dictate games if we get after people and get back to making plays on the ball.

We've been real basic. I mean first and second down, a lot of zone. We might mix in a man-to-man every now and then. Third down it has been a lot more man. I would probably say [we showed] maybe 20 percent of what we're going to do during the season.

I know they were one play away from making the playoffs last year, ... Hopefully with my addition, I can get them to the next level.
