Our punter was my holder (at Reedley), ... It took him a good month.

We talked about stopping that at halftime. I think we just had a couple of guys blow assignments.

We feel like we had a down year last year. We want to come out and prove that we can play with anybody in the Big Ten.

I know we have some big shoes to fill, ... but I'm working hard with Stringer to try to get that done.

Everything has to be perfect. The first three games we won because we have better athletes. In the Big Ten you can't have mistakes.

If they [Michigan] watch the Penn State game all week and think they're going to be prepared for us off that tape, they're going to be in trouble. That wasn't us, and we're going to play 10 times better than we did last Saturday.

We got together (as a defense) and met and let it be known that the way we played last week was unacceptable. We had to pick it up. There was no way we were going to come out and play like we did (at Penn State).

This is one of the best feelings I've ever had in my life.

It's tough. We wanted to win the Big Ten. Five and three isn't terrible, but it's not where we want to be.
