Alex has become more vocal for us, which is a nice surprise. She never stepped up like this before because she probably felt it wasn't her role when she was younger. Now she feels like it is her time as a senior.

First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

It wasn't like walking into a bar. I immediately sensed there was something different about this place and this experience. Even the crowd itself was so diverse in age and background and walks of life. I felt happy to have found something like this. Everybody has to find what their fit is, and this was ours.

People look forward to having that time with each other and are showing up earlier and earlier each week. They want to be a part of having real conversations. This Sunday I made two coffee dates with people I hardly know.

We lost five seniors, and three of them were starters. I've tried really hard not to compare this team to that one.

This team has great chemistry. They have better chemistry than last year's team.

It's hard to tell where we are because we haven't really been tested in our district yet.

People tend to think we're a one-person team, but we have a lot of quality players. We have lots of players who surround her and complement her well.

I was pretty pleased with our defense. Our game plan was to press them hard. We got some good turnovers with our pressure.
