There's so much work to be done down here, I don't think there'll ever be too many people.

In our last conversation, Angel told me that she was exhausted but was going to celebrate her co-worker's birthday. She loved her friends and family and was always looking to celebrate their accomplishments even if it meant sacrificing a few extra hours of sleep.

I have no idea what to think right now. I don't want to believe that she is gone. It seems so unreal. I don't know why anyone would do this.

Angel was the epitome of style and grace. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a giving spirit and placed a strong value on loving her family and friends. The most important thing I want people to know is that Angel came from a very loving family that extended beyond the reaches of her immediate family.

This week, we were supposed to be ordering her graduation announcements and sending her resume to companies in Houston and L.A.. I told her Friday night that she didn't know what path God wanted her to walk and that perhaps she should expand her job search past New York.
