We have lots of speed. It's tough to run in those conditions. Once the rain started, it was a bad field. That took its toll on us. That slowed us down.

We're growing accustomed to him doing the things that he does.

It's not the problems you have, but how you react to them that counts.

He was OK. We just didn't get it done. We [changed quarterbacks] for a change of pace.

I'm probably the only person loyal to the bone to my alma mater. I don't want to go anywhere. I'm just proud to be in the position I'm in.

Playing against a former coach has nothing to do with it. We do it the same way whether we're playing Elizabeth City, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, South Carolina State. Now it's Norfolk State that's right in front of us. Coaches can't play the game. Coach against coach - I don't buy into that. You gotta have your team prepared to play and then they play.

They're showing improvement. They got better. You can see the difference between the Virginia State game and the (North Carolina) A&T game. And they've had two weeks to get ready for this game.

Defensively, we're putting a lot of pressure on people.
