We understand the decision he had to make. He and I are great friends, and we've been playing for a long time. We all know he wants to be out there with us, but he's got big things ahead of him. If it was me and the doctor said I needed six weeks with those plans he has, it would not even have been a choice.

This is the best I've felt in about three to four years. I'm pitching with no pain. I'm able to concentrate, and I've had more success throwing strikes.
