At this level, guys really respect a guy who makes plays and kind of shows his leadership through his play. He likes to joke around, keep things light, make fun of guys. He's real lighthearted but once he's on the field he's all business.

I listen and take it for what it's worth. And a lot of it is worth nothing to me. Some of it, the criticism and the stuff that comes from my coaches and people like that that I need to listen to to get better, that definitely means something to me.

When we jump out into a lead, we've got to keep the pedal down and keep going.

On the field, he kind of means everything.

Because of the position I am on the team and the situation we have I'm going to take some criticism when we lose and probably even when we win.

For me to know I can go in and win in this league is a huge confidence booster.

Personally, I felt improved. I felt I was able to stretch the field a little more. There's been kind of a misconception of my play, that I can't throw downfield. That's about all we did in high school.

I've already won a couple games in the Pac-10. It's nice to get the first win and come out and improve. At the same time, I think I'm going to look at film and know that there's things I need to work on, which is a good thing.
