Obviously, I came in expecting more than never playing. I did know there was a chance. Not all coaches are as open-minded as coach Monson is.
Seniors have got to step up for any team to be good. People were kind of searching for leadership roles. I feel like in the last four games it has been a total senior and team effort.
He does, he teaches you the fundamentals, which I believe is a lot of the art of the college game and so the guys from Hopkins, I feel, have a real advantage as far as that goes.
Brunner had like 23 rebounds in the last game, so our goal was to hold him to zero offensive rebounds. We just had to keep them off the boards.
As a team, we need to play the best defense we've ever played. We just need to be tough, we need to control their offense and not let them feel comfortable at any point.
We knew we had to come out and withstand that first blow. And not only withstand it, but to punch back. A big focus of ours was to come out strong.
(The Wolverines) jumped on in the second game 36-5, so we knew we had to sustain that first blow. We knew we could come out and play with them.
