It kind of slows down the game.

Brett never really changed the whole time I was around him. He enjoyed playing and messing around in the locker room. He seems to be the same type of guy now. We had a pretty solid team around him to keep him humble. It was a lot of fun, a fun group of guys. Everyone was tuned in to what we were trying to do.

Maybe they have a young quarterback that needs a guy like me to coach them through the tough parts. I'm still holding up well. I'm healthy and still throwing the ball well. If I had to play I feel like I could move the ball.

Brett's never been a model for footwork, and those things and that injury kind of slowed him down where his feet were more under control and it factored into all that.
