I think last year was probably his most healthy year since he's been in the organization. We think the injury bug is behind him.

Hopefully what we've done is built a foundation where we'll be perennial contenders for the next 10 years.

Those are two guys that have really earned a shot to compete at the major league level.

I think from an offensive standpoint that's not the key component in our situation. They have to handle a pitching staff... and really call quality games and show all the defensive skills that we require.

We want to have as many homegrown players as we can.

It's very important. We just believe that if you can develop players that understand your system and get them to play the way you want, it benefits you long-term.
