We're confident that when the board sees the exhaustive process we've used over the past 15 months, (we will) have a good chance of getting it approved.

We're happy to do that, and we will do that as quickly as possible.

I think we participated in the process very seriously and hoped that we could find some common ground. I think maybe the process illustrated how complicated the entire matter is.

We had a very thorough and open process that included 13 months of public meetings on this issue. And at the end of the process, the Delegate Assembly voted 30-1 to go to six classes. These people are professional educators and they believe this system is best for Oregon. We're working hard to make this happen.
