I had a few fans here. I appreciate it too. Having fans is huge. It was a big pick-me-up for me and I'm sure a lot of other guys, just knowing that we came all this way and there are Morningside fans behind the backstop. That was great.

It was a new pitcher and I was just thinking sit back and wait for your pitch. Especially with a lefty, I wanted to keep my shoulder in. I didn't want to pull that out and just put the ball in play. That's my main thing when I'm up to bat just put the ball in play and make something happen. Nothing's going to happen striking out. I ended up getting hit.

It's an adjustment for sure. But baseball in any weather is baseball. I love it, can't beat it. So I'll play whenever they tell me to play.

A lot of people don't get to go up there see me five hours away. So getting to come home and play in front of them was a blast. I've been looking forward to it ever since fall ball.

I think so. Especially with this team. We're a young team, but we sure don't lack desire and heart. Everybody's hungry. Everybody's fighting for a spot. So that has a lot to do with it. Everyone busting it until the very last out.

I was just sitting back. I think he got one by me on the first pitch and I just sat back and waited for it. Then he went inside on me again and I just turned on it. Sat back, waited back and turned on it.
