We're not consistently putting people asleep when we need to.
Tuesday's game is huge. Not only did we lose the first time, we're also at home this time. We need to win our home games.
We're playing in the semifinals and you can't complain about that.
Their second half shooting got them back in the game. We also played a little flat in the second half, but I'm just happy to get the win.
It was very much like old Plano basketball. I felt it was one of our best defensive efforts all year.
We shot better in the first half, but played better defense in the second. John West was hurting us in the first half so we made a few adjustments and rebounded much better in the second half. We didn't let him get many second chances in the second half and we put a hand in their faces when they attempted three-pointers, too.
Overall, I'm happy. A win is a win. We got ahead early and probably got a little content.
His teammates know this start was not a gift to Rex. He's a good defender and has pretty good court awareness. He played in a Final 8 football game and now he's playing top-level basketball.
This is a game that favors mistakes. The winner will make the fewest mistakes.
