They had a nice run to begin the second half so I told the guys they had to tighten up the defense. From that point on, we did a nice job of shutting down their shooters.

This team is different and it is like the first year to me. We had to start over at the end of January and by overcoming the obstacles they faced, this team really deserves the district championship.

We got ourselves into a little bit of foul trouble early, but I thought we did a good job defensively and that allowed us to get things going on offense. I was really pleased with our play in the first half, but for about six or seven minutes in the second half, we just didn't do the job.

We wanted to wait until the second half to do what we needed to do to stop him.

They really didn't shoot the free throws well. But we did the same thing to ourselves. The free-throw shooting was poor on both ends.
