Zane had an exceptional year last year. He's just a natural hitter with a lot of natural ability.

We haven't started hitting the ball, yet. But our kids have a real deep seeded belief in themselves, where they refuse to panic. That's the sign of a mature team.

They are obviously the team that everyone is going to be looking at as a team that could be in the championship game because of their experience. It's an honor to have them back here and it gives our tournament a lot of respect.

We have a local mix of 4A and 3A teams, so I hope the crowds will be really good.

We still have not played what I consider up to our potential yet. I'm hoping that the kids can regroup, take tonight's loss and build on that a little bit as far as gaining some momentum and intensity.

That's a big part of our pitching staff back from last year. That's remarkable, because we didn't think we'd have him all year.

I think they've done an outstanding job throwing strikes.

We have not been playing well of late. Our big thing though is it's not how we start, it's how we finish. We have not put a full set of starters on the field yet.

He's one of the top pitchers in East Texas. Losing him will be difficult for us.
