It was just something that kind of threw me off guard, because I thought I had a pretty productive season last year.

To me, and the way I grew up, there's no difference in $3.5 to $4.5 [million]. That's me, I'm speaking for myself.

I'm just ready to get to work, ready to get back to where I feel like I should be, and that's in the big leagues helping this team win. I'm very capable of doing that.

I didn't put up the numbers for that, so I'm willing to work with him. I know I'm not going to make that next year. I realize that.

Yeah, that's good. I don't want to go down in the history books for that. I want to be the first guy to lose 19 and come back and win 19.

I'm good. I'm not working today, but I'm fine.

That's something we do - 13 hits and not score.

I was going to stay in but Buddy (Bell) said no. Whenever I start a game I like to finish it.

I was more hurt than anything. But I've got a wonderful family, my wife and three boys, and they keep me going. They love me whether I'm playing this game or not. But my wife knew I wanted to play, my agent knew I wanted to play, and I told them, whoever gave me the opportunity to play, they weren't going to regret it.
