That's going to be hard for them. It's not even business as usual now, and we haven't walked off the property yet.

We thought we would probably get the benefits because the cuts (Northwest sought) were so extreme, ... The guys are going to have to get other jobs. That will be our message to them.

The system that Northwest has in place can't last forever. They're falling down. No matter what they report they are falling down on the repair of the aircraft and, at some point, it's going to have to come to an end and we're going to have to go back into work.

Maybe it's just symbolic, but to me this is the day for labor and this is the day I'm proud to be a striking member.

Any kind of standard of living that's been established is because of unions. This is a force that cannot go away.
