We battled really hard with a man on third and nobody out (in the ninth).

He may have felt like he had to carry the team. Today he got back to pitching like he can, pitching to spots and changing speeds.

Starting March 3rd we had 17 pitchers coming in before school vying for what has become nine spots. So we felt, despite losing Cantwell, we would have some pitching depth this season. And we knew we were going to need it.

We were able to turn some outs and that ball (hit by Marx) just found a place in between people.
