"Taylor Chace" is an United States/American sledge hockey player.

Chace is one of three children of Ric and Lisa Chace. He began playing ice hockey at age 5, and by age 16 was playing for the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs.

During an October 2002 game, he was Checking (ice hockey)/checked back-first into the boards. The impact broke the Lumbar vertebrae/L1 vertebra in his lower back, resulting in an incomplete spinal cord injury and partial paralysis of his legs.

Chace was introduced to the sport of sled hockey through Northeast Passage, a program affiliated with the University of New Hampshire, where his older sister was attending college. He was named to the U.S. national team in late 2005 and participated in the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin, Italy, where the team took a bronze medal. He helped win another bronze at the 2008 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships, and at the 2009 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships/2009 World Championships he assisted in the gold medal-winning goal in a match against Norway. In 2010, he helped his team capture the gold medal in the Vancouver, BC 2010 Winter Paralympics/Paralympic Winter Games.

This has been a dream come true, one which I dreamed about when I was young.

It was pretty amazing getting it. There?s a lot of great teams in the world, and we were fortunate to win the bronze. A bronze medal is a great thing for this team and who we represent.

Best year of my life. It?s been a pretty tough past three years, but it was worth all the sacrifices.

Everyone was chanting U-S-A. It really hit me hard. I just tried to take it all in.

It was pretty emotional, but it made me a stronger person as well.

I want to go to Vancouver in 2010. I already want to win the gold.
