We tell all the girls we want them to have a full life. They can do that and still win championships.

We're solid on every event. We just need to put all four events together in the same night and I think we can push the 198 score. The floor is the event that we love and something we want to be No. 1 in country on. The girls take pride in that.

Not many teams can fall three times and still win. But that's a testament to our team and the girls.

I was impressed with our performance on beam. It was just like last year at the national championships when we stuck with a plan and had a belief we would win the competition. It was tough going over to beam with the home team on floor, and Alabama is outstanding on floor.

We have really been exceptional on vault the whole season. We weren't even at our best tonight. Tiffany's vault was a ten if I ever saw it. It was absolutely perfect.

We had a lot of ups and downs today. We had some 9.9s and some low scores. You could tell it was the beginning of the season. The landings are still difficult and they do not have the confidence that they need to have. But that's just because it's the beginning of the season. Today's performance was a significant improvement from last week.

That doesn't happen very often. It was a fluke. I don't want to read too much into it. But I was surprised.

When you're a lower ranked team or an underdog, you can have a go-for-it attitude. You have nothing to lose when you're in that situation. You don't have anything to lose, you don't have to hold back.
