They played their hearts out. I guess they just got tired of losing. They were a little more focused, blocked out more, hustled harder and played better defense. I think everything is kind of sinking in what they're supposed to do. They're getting more experienced each game, and it's paying off.

We got off to a great start, then hit a tough period. Now hopefully we?re coming out of it. I?m pleased by the way the kids have handled the adversity.

It?s basically Hartford and everybody else.

We needed this game. And we stepped up and got this win.

It seems like we can?t get our offense and defense on the same page right now. We just need to be more consistent on both sides of the ball.

I think Ray decided we were not going to lose today. She was real dominant and she can do that if we get her the ball in the right place.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ray would be the top player in the conference if she were healthy. But she?s giving us great minutes when she?s out there.

It's a mind thing. Once we get our minds to mature a little more, we'll be a better team. We have some very young kids out there. This is a whole other level from junior high ball — a whole other level.

She has a big load on her shoulders. But I think she's doing a tremendous job trying to keep us together. She has stepped up on that floor and off that floor as a leader. She's a critical part of us putting the pieces of the puzzle back together.
